Real-Time Monitoring

 

The Infrastructure unit of ITaP is responsible for much of the behind-the-scenes work that makes communication and computers work. Infrastructure staff install and maintain the optical fiber that composes the network linking Purdue buildings to the outside world by way of the Internet. This is the team that offers and maintains email service and the phone service in campus buildings including the University Residences. The unit operates the 24/7 machine room that houses Purdue’s mainframe computers and all production systems.
