Customer Relations Enterprise Applications Networks and Security Rosen Center for Advanced Computing Systems and Operations Teaching and Learning Technologies

The mission of the ITaP Networks and Security team is to serve the faculty, staff, researchers, and students of the Purdue University system by ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of University data, information, communications, and services via the pursuit of operational excellence in the areas of incident handling, identity and access management, security training, outreach, research, policy development, digital forensics, and general security services.

Networks and Security consists of three major areas:

Security Services Identity & Access Management
Provides vulnerability scanning, risk assessments and security reviews, Thawte SPKI program, incident response and remediation, evaluation and development, audit response coordination, campus wide anti-virus support, and second-tier helpdesk support Provides a consistent, University-wide means of managing and identifying Purdue University constituents to grant access to University resources and ensure an individual’s privacy
 
Policy, Education, and Outreach Special Projects
Develops IT security policy, compliance programs, offers educational information about security topics (SecurePurdue), carries out computer forensic activities in partnership with CERIAS, the College of Technology, and local law enforcement.
