PDA Installation Instructions

I. Download Software

Select the appropriate link for PAL client software for your PDA:

II. Extract Program Files

If the program files do not automatically self-extract upon download, use a Zip application (such as WinZip) to unzip them.

III. Install VPN Client

*NOTES*
There are 3 separate items you will have to install. The first is the VPN client itself, then the license file, and finally the policy file. If you have trouble connecting, eject your wireless card and reset the device. Sometimes this is necessary if your PDA does not automatically get a dhcp address.


*Before installation, be sure to have your PDA in the cradle and activesync it to your PC.

1. Click on the appropriate install file for your PDA.

2. Be sure to select "WITH PKI SUPPORT" when you are installing the software.

*NOTE*
After installing, you will need to reset your PDA.

3. After completing the first phase of installation, click on the License installer (either movianVPN_WinCE_License_PVPNCL10-00010398F96FJ4.exe or movianVPN_Palm_License_PVPNCL20-000103992T50J7.exe depending on whether you have a Palm or WinCE PDA).

4. Follow the install instructions.

5. Now you need to install the policy file to your PDA. Usually this just entails clicking on the file and it will send it to your PDA. If that doesn't work, just use your activesync program to install it.

6. On your PDA, click on the start menu and then select MovianVPN.

6a. Click OK --> OK. Select MovianVPN from start menu again.
6b. Click OK to accept License Agreement

7. In the bottom lefthand corner of the screen, click on the "Options" button.

8. Select "Connection Type"

9. Choose your wireless card.

*NOTE*
You will probably have to reset your device now. It should prompt you to do so.

10. Now launch MovianVPN again and click on the "Edit" button.

11. When the screen pops up, click on "Continue"

12. In the "User Name" text box, erase what is there and enter your login name.

13. Click "Done"

14. Now click "Login"

15. You should see the program connecting to the wireless. When prompted, enter your password.

16. You should now be able to do normal internet activity.
