Assistance for students with disabilities
The Assistive Technology Center offers technologies for students who face such challenges as impaired vision, learning disabilities, or limited mobility. Located in Stewart Center, room 111.

Computer & equipment loans
The Digital Learning Collaboratory (DLC) provides equipment checkout of laptops, digital cameras, digital camcorders, tripods, and external firewire hard drives. Located in Hicks Undergraduate Library, room B853.

Computer discounts
ITaP Shopping provides information on computers and other equipment that can be purchased at discounts available only to Purdue students, faculty, and staff. Located in Stewart Center, room G65.

Computer equipment demos
ITaP Shopping Offline allows Purdue computer users to test the latest computers and other computer-related hardware on display in Stewart Center, room G65.

Computer labs
More than 50 instructional computing labs on the West Lafayette campus offer the use of 2,300 desktop computers to anyone with a Purdue career account. Locations are listed on the Web.

ITaP provides the directory lookup feature available from Purdue’s homepage. Find Web resources, news, information, maps, other links, and phone numbers.

Email
Purdue students are provided with an email account that allows them to send and receive email at a purdue.edu address.

Emergency cell phone notification
Sign up to be notified in the event of a public safety emergency. Purdue will send text messages to your cell phone only in the event of a public safety emergency or a well-publicized test of the emergency notification system. The University will use this information for no other purpose. Depending on your cell phone plan, your carrier may charge you for receiving these text messages. Go to http://www.purdue.edu/securepurdue, click on the “Change My Password” icon, enter your career account name and password, and then select the “Emergency Contact Information” link beneath the Account Tools heading. Enter your cell phone number in the space provided. Click Save when you have entered your cell phone number.

Help desk
The Customer Service Center provides ITaP-related computer assistance to everyone at Purdue. Walk-in assistance is on a first-come, first-served basis in Stewart Center, room G65; phone support is available by calling 49-44000.

Purdue’s BoilerCast system enables downloading an audio lecture from the Internet to an MP3 player.

Purdue-Pay
A subset of SSINFO, Purdue-Pay allows students and parents to electronically pay tuition or housing fees from any checking or savings account in the United States.

Software Remote provides free Internet access to many common Windows-based applications available in the instructional labs. All Purdue career accounts have access to some Software Remote applications.

SSINFO provides grades, class schedules, exam schedules, and academic history. The site also enables students to pay fees through Purdue-Pay.

Wi-Fi access
Purdue Air Link (PAL) provides free wireless network access in the common areas of most academic buildings on campus. A Purdue username and password are required to log in.
