ITSO UNIX Acxcounts

To obtain an operating system account on an ITSO UNIX server, the prospective account owner must complete and sign the Account Request Form. (If you require an account in an application, please contact the appropriate application administrator.) In addition, the signature of the account owner’s supervisor is required.

Once complete, mail the form to:

ITSO UNIX Administration
IT Platform Support
Freehafer Hall (FREH)

Upon placing the form in the mail, also send an email to tickets-itiunix@purdue.edu (which will create a request in the ITaP ticketing system) with the Subject Line: Account Request, where is the name of the system on which the account is being requested. In the message body of the email, indicate that you have placed the Account Request Form in the mail.

After verification of the request, ITSO UNIX will create the account, resolve the ticket, and provide an initial password that the account owner should change immediately.

NOTE: Incomplete or unsigned Account Request Forms will not be processed. If you have questions about the request process, please send them to tickets-itiunix@purdue.edu.

Please allow at least 3 business days for your request to be received and processed.
