I am having problems connecting. Any suggestions?

Problems connecting to the VPN server are usually due to client machine configuration errors. Please double check that you properly followed the instructions before calling support.

Most popular home networking routers have support for VPN connections built in and will automatically permit the connection with no configuration. Occassionally you will need to find the page in your router's configuration that enables VPN Pass Through and ensure it is checked. Please be aware that by using PPTP or L2TP over IPSEC it is only possible for one user at a time to have a VPN connection open through most home routers.

If you wish to or need to manually forward ports and protocols through a firewall in order to make your VPN connection work the required list is: Protocol 50 (ESP), Protocol 51 (AH), Protocol 47 (GRE), TCP/UDP port 1701, TCP port 1723, UDP port 500.
