Field Info: Building

The building field contains a standard University building abbreviation code. For example, the "math" abbreviation stands for the Mathematical Sciences Building.

You may find a listing of building codes in the Purdue University Telephone Book map page or scroll to bottom of the page and click on "Campus Map". This link will take you to several available campus maps that will include building code information.

Who enters the building code information?
The building code information found in the electronic directory is provided by University Human Resource Services.

How do I update the building code information in my entry?
(It is incorrect.) The procedure and forms for updating this information is the same as for updating the printed campus telephone book. On the West Lafayette campus, this is done by filling out a form 13. Once you have requested the change, Human Resource Services will usually send us the updated information for inclusion into the electronic directory within one week after your next paycheck.
