Field Info: Service
The "service" field in your directory entry is used to tell Mailhub what to do with mail received for your @purdue.edu address.
Mailhub is responsible for handling mail sent to your @purdue.edu mail address. The "service" field in your directory entry is used to tell Mailhub what to do with mail that is received for your @purdue.edu address.The default "service" field for new directory entries is "reject". Mail received for an @purdue.edu address where the "service" field is set to "reject" will be returned to the sender as undeliverable. (The @purdue.edu mail address has not been activated.)
By selecting one of the active Mailhub service settings (forward or store), mail sent to your @purdue.edu will be delivered by Mailhub.
This setting is useful if you wish to redirect mail received for your @purdue.edu address to an existing email account, such as: AOL, hotmail, @insightbb.com, @verizon.net, or Purdue departmental account. The @purdue.edu mail will simply be sent on to the email account specified for you to read there.
