The Purdue Electronic Directory provides online access to various kinds of information about individuals at Purdue for global internet access. Faculty, staff, and student information is available for the main and satellite campuses.

Utility Software Services, which maintain the Purdue Electronic Directory Service, does not maintain the information in the electronic directory entries. Some fields in a directory entry are set from information received from Human Resource Services for faculty and staff or from the Registrar for students. Other fields may be set or changed by the individual directory entry owner. Each individual is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of the information in their electronic directory entry.

By editing the "service" field of the directory entry, the individual controls how email sent to their @purdue.edu addresses is handled. If the "service" field is set to "reject" - the account is not setup to receive email.
