Outlook Configuration

I need configuration information for my Outlook email client to use with the ITaP Exchange server. Can you help?

Instructions for configuring an Outlook client can be found below:

Please note: After completion, please apply the "speed_up" FAQ changes to your machine's configuration.

For Outlook 2000:

1. Right click on the desktop Outlook icon and select "Properties". (You may also access this from Settings - Control Panel - Mail.)
2. Open the "Services" tab, highlight "Microsoft Exchange Server", and click on the "Properties" button.
3. Set the Microsoft Exchange Server to "exchange.purdue.edu", enter your Directory alias, and click "Check Name".
4. When login box appears:
   
   User Name: enter your Directory alias
   Domain Name: enter "onepurdue"
   Password: enter your Directory password
5. Your name will return underlined to show that your Exchange account has been located.

For Outlook XP

1. Right click on the Outlook icon and select "Properties".
2. Click on "E-mail Accounts..."
3. Under E-mail, select "View or change existing e-mail accounts" and click "Next".
4. With Microsoft Exchange Server highlighted, click on "Add".
5. Enter "exchange.purdue.edu" as the Microsoft Exchange Server and click "Check Name".
6. When login box appears:
   
   User Name: enter your Directory alias
   Password: enter your Directory password
   Domain Name: enter "onepurdue"
   
7. Click "OK" - click "Next" - click "Finish" - and click "Close".
