Public Folders - Naming Standards
Please tell me about “naming standards” for Public
Folders.
XXXX PPPP Dddd Tttt where:
- XXXX = Official departmental abbreviation in all caps of the department owning the public Folder (example ENGR)
- PPPP = Optional Project name limited to 5-letter acronym
- Dddd = Descriptive name with first letter capitalized (example Vacation)
- 15-character limit on descriptions
- If description is an acronym, it will be in all caps.
- Use same terminology for all similar folders descriptions.
- Tttt = Name given based on folder type with first letter capitalized (Calendar)
- Flat non-directory hierarchy will be used for most situations.
- Only Public Folders that a user has "rights to" will be visible.
Could you give me some examples of Public Folders created by using the above naming standards?
