Configuring a Resource - Outlook XP (2002)

What do I need to do to configure a "resource" in Outlook XP (2002)?

The * owner * of the resource needs to perform the following steps:

Exit "Outlook" - "File" - "Exit and Log Off", then do the following:

    1. Right click on the "Microsoft Outlook" icon on the desktop and select "Properties" - click "Show Profiles" - click "Add".

    2. Enter a name for the profile (Example: FREH G-1), and click "OK".

    3. Under "E-mail", select "Add a new e-mail account", and click "Next".

    4. Select "Microsoft Exchange Server", and click "Next".

    5. For Microsoft Exchange Server, enter "nts-44.exchange.purdue.edu" or "nts-43.exchange.purdue.edu" as appropriate.

    6. For User Name, enter the name of the resource and click "Check Name". (If nothing returns, try the other server name listed above.)

    7. Click on "More Settings" - click on the Connection tab - select "Connect using my Local Area Network (LAN)" - click "OK".

    8. Click "Next" - then click "Finish".
