Outlook XP (2002)

Outlook profile checks for Outlook XP (2002):

    1. Right click on the "Microsoft Outlook" icon on the desktop and select "Properties" - select "E-mail Accounts..."


    2. Be sure the "View or change existing e-mail accounts" is selected, then click "Next"

    3. The screen will now display a list of email accounts that Outlook is going to process:
      1. Since this list is in processing order, it is recommended Exchange be at the top of this list - if mulitiple entries exist.
      2. If there are multiple profiles, set Exchange as the the "Default" profile.


    4. Select the Exchange profile
      1. In the box labeled, "Deliver new e-mail to the following location:", make sure it says "mailbox - lastname, firstname, middleinitial" - (There should not be a reference to a .pst file)
      2. Click on "Change"
      3. Click on "More Settings"
      4. If the machine IS part of the ADMIN_DOMAIN:
        1. Under the "Advanced" tab - in the box labeled "Logon network security" - select "NT Password Authentication"
        2. Under the "Connection" tab - select "Connect using my Local Area Network (LAN)"
      5. If the machine IS NOT part of ADMIN_DOMAIN:
        1. Under the "Advanced" tab - in the box labeled "Logon network security" - select "None"
        2. Under the "Connection" tab - select "Connect using my Local Area Network (LAN)"
      6. Click "OK" and then "Next"
      7. Enter login information if needed
      8. Click "Finish"
