Windows NT, 2000, or XP WINS

Please note: If your machine is in the NT Domain of ADMIN_DOMAIN, but is not configured to use DHCP, adding a WINS server may help speed things up. (If DHCP is used, it will add the WINS server information automatically.)

To add WINS servers for Windows NT, 2000, or XP:

    1. Click "Start" - "Settings" - "Control Panel" - "Network".


    2. Highlight "TCP/IP" and click "Properties".


    3. Click on "Advanced".
    4. Click on the "WINS" tab.


    5. Under WINS Server Search Order, add
      6. 128.210.63.201
      128.210.63.204

    6. For Windows 2000 and Windows XP ONLY verify the "Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP" is checked on.
