What messages are scanned by the spam scanning service?
Messages sent to @purdue.edu e-mail addresses will be processed by the spam scanning service as long as the recipient has spam scanning enabled.
However, Purdue-affiliated users who configure their e-mail client to use SMTP authentication can send e-mail to @purdue.edu e-mail addresses and bypass the spam scanning service. Information on how to configure many commonly used e-mail clients can be found on the webpage:
