How do I change where my @purdue.edu e-mail is delivered?

To change how your @purdue.edu e-mail is processed, you modify your "service" setting in your Purdue Electronic Directory entry.  This is done via the web page:

 https://directory.purdue.edu/directory-bin/nph-update.pl

 or

http://www.itap.purdue.edu/directory/ 

and clicking on "Edit Your Directory Entry" on the right-hand side of the page.  The "service" field associated with your Purdue Electronic Directory entry controls how e-mail sent to your @purdue.edu e-mail is handled.  There are three possible settings for the "service" field:

reject

E-mail sent to your @purdue.edu address will be returned to the sender ("bounced"), stating "user unknown".

forward

E-mail sent to your @purdue.edu address will be redirected to the address specified in the "service" field.

store

E-mail sent to your @purdue.edu address will be stored on one of the Mailhub servers.  Your e-mail can be accessed using any standard IMAP or POP  e-mail client.  Information regarding e-mail client options and possible configurations can be found at:
