What is so dangerous about executable attachments?
E-mail attachments have become a common way of distributing "self-replicating" viruses.E-mail software may automatically "launch" an attachment. Although this is helpful to the user, it enables a virus-infected attachment to automatically open. The attachment executes, infects the machine, and the infected machine begins to send mail to others containing an infected attachment without the user even knowing it.
