Information technology startups and mergers. People with vision and the drive to turn vision into reality. These stories are happening here with Information Technology at Purdue.
In 2001, several related areas of computing and telecommunications were merged to create what is known as ITaP, Information Technology at Purdue.
Purdue University had a vision of seamlessly integrating information technology with learning, discovery, engagement, and the business enterprise of the University. To begin making that vision a reality, ITaP formed partnerships with distributed IT groups within the University, led the development of the IT strategic plan to support University decisions, and launched numerous new projects.
In this publication you will be introduced to the people who are implementing the technology, the people who are using it, and the amazing results that this has produced for Purdue students, faculty, staff, and the citizens of Indiana.
Air Link. I-Light. Envision. The High Performance Classroom. BoilerNet. And OnePurdue. These are a few of the projects that are helping move Purdue toward the day when students, faculty, and staff have seamless access to data anywhere, at any time, on any platform. These are some of the information technology projects that are helping Purdue achieve preeminence.
