During the standard early morning maintenance window on Saturday, December 8th CSDS will deploy the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator agent to computers that are not reporting to the ePolicy Orchestrator server.

On Saturday, Dec. 15, starting at 4 p.m. production Windows systems will have security patches and other updates applied as necessary. Each server may need to be rebooted one or more times to apply all updates. Each reboot will impact the server for up to ten minutes.

DegreeWorks will be unavailable on December 15, 2012 from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm in order to implement upgrade 4.1.1. Advisors that currently use this functionality are aware of this downtime.

JobRequest will be updated to fix a bug causing too many files to be opened by the Tomcat process.

The Krannert Masters Site, masters.krannert.purdue.edu, will be moving to a new web server on 12/15 at 10 PM. Service interruption will be minimal, and only when the actual transfer is taking place. End users will not notice a difference after migration. A banner will be placed on the site if a user attempts to make an edit during the outage, warning them that any changes won't be retained (the banner will be removed after migration). This move is necessary to correct operating system configuration problems in the underlying server that don't impact the web site, but do impact the maintainability of the server itself.

On Saturday Dec. 15 at 8PM, the UC4 servers (lpvuc403, lpvuc404) will be rebooted to update the running kernel. Each system will be done individually to allow services to failover to the still running server. Customers should not see any interruption of service.
