Approved - RFC-9674 Monthly Windows Patching – Cleanup - May 2013

On Saturday, May 25, starting at 4 p.m. all Windows systems may have additional security patches and other updates applied as necessary to complete the patch cycle. Each server may need to be rebooted one or more times to apply all updates. Each reboot will impact the server for up to ten minutes.

5/25/2013 at 4:00 PM, I'll start a rolling patching of the AD servers to apply the SBSL patch to the server side of the login process


What is changing?
the SBSL update rollup patch is being applied

Why is it changing (what is the benefit)?
To speed up the login/boot of Windows 7 SP1 clients when communicating with 2008R2 SP1 servers

How will people be affected?
Their computers may boot and login quicker

Who and how many will be affected by the change?
Anyone who uses windows 7 sp1 and logs into the domain

Who was notified of the change and how?
This is the only notification
