Infrastructure Operations Center
Infrastructure Operations Center provide data processing and system monitoring support for IBM mainframe, NT, Unix, and Novell systems and applications. Infrastructure Operations Center monitors processing cycles and backups; responds to customer requests; performs daily archiving and maintenance duties on the campus mainframe and open systems; and operates printers, tape devices, output finishing equipment. Infrastructure Operations Center also transfers archive materials to and from Purdue's offsite storage facility; maintains a log of operational activities; operates and interacts with all scheduling packages directing batch processing; and diagnoses and remedies most system level mainframe abends.
