Signing On
After clicking on the TN3270 icon (should be located on your windows start menu or you may have a desktop shortcut set up), type your USER ID (your ACID) and 7 or 8 character password. To start work in a facility, you may enter:
- Type the facility name (ROSCOE or CICS) on the request line. Press ENTER.
- The numbered function keys on your PC keyboard are probably set up to correspond to mainframe “PF” keys. Press the F key corresponding to the number of the facility you wish to start.
For CICS:
If the ACID and password are correct, you are in the facility and may proceed with your application. If the ACID or password were miskeyed, the individual facility’s sign-on screen appears. (Note: If this screen does not appear, clear your screen and type CESN.)
For ROSCOE:
If the ACID and password are correct, you are in the facility. If the ACID or password were miskeyed, the individual facility's sign-on screen appears. Reenter your ACID and password. If your password is expired, enter your new password.
