The purchasing portion of this program has been discontinued. If you purchased a HP or Apple unit you will continue to receive hardware warranty support on campus at the AME repair center located in MATH B6. You may still purchase laptop's through Purdue Shopping.
Several factors must be considered when selecting the laptop that is right for you, including your major, what kind of software you plan to use, which type of computer you are most comfortable with (PC or Macintosh), and what special capabilities you would like your laptop to have. Before deciding upon a model, you should check with your department or school about your hardware and software needs before purchasing any computer.
