Get to myMail faster by updating your bookmark

myMail users should update their bookmarks from webmail.purdue.edu to mymail.purdue.edu by Sept. 1, 2011, as a final step in the transition to myMail—Purdue’s email, calendaring and collaboration service. On that date, anyone who attempts to go to webmail.purdue.edu will receive a Page Not Found error.

“We hope that users are enjoying the new myMail platform,” says Suzanne Barasch, ITaP’s manager of messaging services and database administration. “The last step of the myMail transition is to turn off the webmail.purdue.edu website, scheduled for September 1.”

Users who currently access webmail.purdue.edu are bounced to a reminder Web page to update their bookmarks to the myMail URL, which is mymail.purdue.edu. The reminder page will be removed on Sept. 1.

The myMail system was debuted in the fall of 2010 and offers email, address books, calendaring, task lists, Web document authoring capabilities, a chat client, social-networking integration and more.

Account migrations from BoilerMail to myMail were completed in Jan. 2011.
