- Service Description:
- Classroom services provide instructors and students with a variety of technologies that enhance the teaching and learning experience in and out of the classroom. The service line is comprised of the following four services:
The Technology In the Classroom (TIC) service provides instructors with high-tech lecture and presentation facilities for the classes they teach.
The eInstruction Service provides interactive classroom polling, attendance recording and quiz administration via hand-held response pads. It uses eInstruction’s CPS system as its base technology.
The BoilerCast service uses podcasting technology to deliver digital audio recordings of class lectures to portable audio playback devices such as iPods. It uses Apple, Inc.’s iTunes University as its base technology.
The Online Score Uploading Service provides instructors with processing of exams administered using “bubble sheet” exam answer forms. Exam scores are automatically loaded into online course environments within the Blackboard Vista system.
