Application Hosting

Service Description:
ITaP offers hosting services for departmental applications in a secure, controlled environment. Support includes server procurement and installation, application installation, storage solutions, security patching, maintenance, monitoring, and backup and recovery services. Both Windows and Linux environments are available. Depending on the needs of your application, web and database support may also be purchased.
Limitations:
This service is housed on the Purdue University West Lafayette campus, but available to all Purdue University departments on any campus.
Availability:
Two levels of server availability can be provided: Standard/Business Hours: M-F, 7:30am - 5:30pm EST Extended/High Availability: 24x7 Standard Maintenance Window: Saturday 4pm - Midnight

For problems or issues contact:
Server availability monitoring and maintenance is the responsibility of ITaP. Application monitoring is the responsibility of the Client. End-users should report departmental system problems to the Client’s designated application administrator. The Client application administrators should report issues that require ITaP assistance by contacting the Customer Service Center. Services are available to Purdue University Departments on the basis of ITaP standard policies and will be negotiated through Service Level Agreements.
