Active Directory services are available to Purdue University departments, upon request. Active Directory is Microsoft’s trademarked directory service, an integral part of the Windows Server architecture. Like other directory services, Active Directory is a centralized and standardized system that automates network management of user data, security, and distributed resources, and enables interoperation with other directories.
Provide any or all of the following services; application selection and installation, application development, application maintenance and modification, system integration, application testing, data extraction, or data modeling.
This also includes the use of Project Management and Portfolio Management as needed.
ITaP offers hosting services for departmental applications in a secure, controlled environment. Support includes server procurement and installation, application installation, storage solutions, security patching, maintenance, monitoring, and backup and recovery services. Both Windows and Linux environments are available. Depending on the needs of your application, web and database support may also be purchased.
Provide consulting services to help document business processes, and/or the redesign of current processes either within or across departmental groups.
ITaP offers educational opportunities to assist faculty and staff to more effectively use common desktop software and Purdue business applications in their work.
ITaP provides data center space, network, redundant power and cooling to co-location customers for Mission Critical and non-critical systems.
ITaP Infrastructure offers both Oracle and SQL Server database administration support to Purdue University departments upon request. These services include the installation and maintenance of database management system software, backup and recovery measures to safeguard data and collaboration with departments in maintaining databases where database administration (DBA) involvement is necessary.

ITaP offers file storage for University departments. This service can be used for managing storage interfaces and creating a common location to share files with individuals and teams.

Mailhub: ITaP provides an “@purdue.edu” email address to Purdue University faculty, staff and students. All incoming students are given an “@purdue.edu” email account ?before they arrive on campus. Most new staff are also given an account when they begin employment
The implementation of the processes for the selection, prioritization and monitoring of projects within a department.
ITaP provides Windows print services to compatible windows clients.
This service includes centralized management of print queues allowing departmental technical staff to direct all print jobs to their area’s printers. This service also allows end-users to direct their own individual print jobs if needed.
Project definition, scheduling and management for large complex efforts involving multiple departments using a standard methodology. May also assist in providing advice and quality assurance for best practices of project management as they relate to PMBOK.
Remedy is the main ITaP incident and request logging service. It is also used by several other departments across the West Lafayette campus as well as at the PNC campus. It provides support groups and business units with the means to log and record customer contacts (issues and requests) as tickets. These tickets can then be used to pass information between the relevant groups in order that a satisfactory resolution can be found.
There is a full client version and it is also available via a web interface.
In addition to being available while on campus both of these are also available via ITaP's virtual private network (VPN) when not on campus or working from home.

- Manages the content of the SharePoint site collection
- Manages the permissions, groups and access to the SharePoint site collection and sub sites.
- Manages the creation of sub sites under their Site Collection.
- Is responsible for the notification to site users in regards to the placement of restricted and/or sensitive data on the SharePoint site collection in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA and Purdue Security and Regulatory policies. Which can be found at http://www.purdue.edu/securepurdue/bestPractices/
- Will handle first level support of users of their site collection. Issues with core SharePoint functionality or infrastructure will be escalated to ITaP SharePoint administration.
- Is responsible for reviewing and approving Service Level Agreements for the site hosting.
- Is responsible for reviewing space usage by their site collection.
- Notifies ITaP of changes of the primary and backup SharePoint Site Collection Administrator.

Full range of video and multimedia production services from concept to finished promotional, instructional and commercial productions on DVD, videotape, or the web. Services include digital editing services, 3D animation and compositing, classroom and conference event recording, remote location video recording, and studio production in distance learning and broadcast television studios.
ITaP offers Serna Collage as a resource to university departments for managing web content. Using the CMS system allows content owners to directly author and publish information online while maintaining design consistency and branding.
ITaP provides end-to-end Web design and development services, on a cost recovery basis, to the Purdue University community. Services include: Web site design and/or development, Web application development, and multimedia development.
ITaP provides web application hosting within various environments as well as the installation and maintenance of web application servers.
