Below you will find brief descriptions of core IT services. You can enroll to receive email alerts about the availability of each service by clicking its link and following the directions to subscribe.

In the event that the availability of multiple services is affected, an email notification detailing which services are impacted will be sent. By subscribing to any of these Service Alert lists, you will automatically receive that notification.

IT Services

Advance Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Advance, the key fundraising software used by the University. Subscribe
Blackboard Learn Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Blackboard Learn, the service enables faculty and students to access files, grades, assignments, quizzes and the chat feature. Blackboard Learn includes the following components:
  • SafeAssign: enterprise plagiarism detection system
  • iClicker: student classroom response system
  • CourseSignals: early grade intervention system supporting student success (both systems Banner & Blackboard)
  • Kaltura: streaming media and video services for courseware

Coeus Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Coeus, the University’s electronic research request, award, and administration solution. Subscribe
Cognos

Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding the availability of Cognos, the enterprise-wide reporting tool.  This includes:

  • ODS/EDW:  Student operational data store and enterprise data warehouse containing student data for student reporting.

Co-location Services Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Co-location services, which are common physical locations that provide networking, redundant power and cooling to house servers. Subscribe
Departmental File Storage Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Purdue’s Departmental File Storage service, the Windows-based file storage system that allows for shared folders and files between employees in the same department. Subscribe
Digital Signage Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Purdue’s central Digital Signage program (including CoolSign) for promoting a managed, enterprise solution to share and distribute digital fliers across campus. Subscribe
Exchange Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Exchange, ITaP’s email and Outlook calendaring service. Subscribe
Labs and Technology in the Classroom Sites

Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Labs and Technology in the Classroom (TIC) sites, Purdue learning spaces that accommodate network-based instructional applications. This includes:

  • Boilercast: Purdue’s class recording system that delivers classroom lecture audio and screen recordings as well as supplemental course content.
  • GoRemote (Software Remote): Remote access to computing lab software applications.

Maximo

Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Maximo, a work-order system for preventative maintenance.  This includes:

  • Maximo Preventative Maintenance:  System to track preventative maintenace work orders for facilities.
  • Maximo Fix My Home:  Web application used by staff and students to submit work orders into Maximo.
  • Maximo Reporting Services:  Database store for reporting on preventative maintenance orders.

myMail Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of myMail, the Web-based Purdue email, calendar and contacts tool provided to students and some faculty, staff and retirees. Subscribe
myPurdue Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of myPurdue, the service that enables faculty and students to conduct Student Affairs activities and includes the following components:
  • Student Self-Service: enables students to access student-related information and forms 
  • Course registration: enables students to register for classes
  • Scheduling: provides students with class schedules 
  • Academic progress: degree audit and degree planning system
  • TouchNet: ecommerce service for paying University fees online
  • Banner (Internet Native Banner): provides the support interface for Banner application
  • Faculty Self-Service: enables access to faculty information and forms
  • Adviser Self-Service: enables access to adviser information and forms

SAP Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of OnePurdue, the service that enables staff to conduct Business Services activities and includes the following components:
  • Portal: common entry point for the OnePurdue system that includes Employee Self-Service, Financial, Purchasing, Human Resource and Facilities Maintenance areas
  • Employee Self-Service (ESS): enables an employee to view and manage personal, payment and time off information, or conduct an employee search
  • Procurement (SAP SRM): enables the procurement and receiving processes
  • Financial/HR (SAP ERP): environment that hosts financial and human resource data and information
  • AIMS: data and reporting tool that supports contracts and grants management
  • BEx: reporting system used to query and report on data in the OnePurdue system
  • Demand Maintenance: system used for ordering and scheduling facilities work
  • Business Warehouse (BW): environment that stores business data from past transactions and summarizes them for easy report generation in ERP
  • File Upload/Download (XI): enables the extension of OnePurdue services through uploading or downloading files to other internal and external systems

Primavera

Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Primavera, the software suite that enables scheduling of construction work.  This includes:

  • Primavera Project Management:  Software used to manage project schedules, milestones, key dates, etc... for ongoing projects.
  • Primavera Time Sheets:  System used to track billable hours spent on In-House Design projects.
  • Primavera Contract Manager: Software used to manage construction related documents, change-orders, and cost information.

Purdue Career Account File Storage Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Purdue Career Account File Storage, used to store individuals’ files, websites and some Web applications. Subscribe
Purdue Websites Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Purdue websites and Web services hosted on the purdue.edu domain. Subscribe
Research Clusters Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding the availability of Purdue’s community cluster systems, which provide resources for faculty, staff and student researchers. Subscribe
SharePoint Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Purdue’s SharePoint service, a collaboration suite for content management and data sharing. Subscribe
Wired Network Connections Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Wired Network Connections, Purdue’s hardwired core data network. Subscribe
Wireless Network Connections Members of this list will receive service alerts regarding availability of Purdue AirLink (PAL), Purdue’s hosted wireless data network. Current versions are PAL 2.0 and PAL 3.0 Subscribe
