Individual Purchases

Individuals can purchase software through an online vendor, called Kivuto (formerly e-academy). After authentication, users can select software for purchase and pay with a credit card. Software ordered through Kivuto can be downloaded one time or made available on DVD for an additional charge plus shipping/handling.

Kivuto offers software negotiated under Purdue's campus agreements, such as Microsoft and Adobe. In addition, the Kivuto portal offers other software, such as SPSS, Minitab, VMware, Parallels, and SAS, with either special pricing or lease arrangements that allow use of software for a limited time (6 or 12 months). Departmental Purchases

Some departmental site licenses require Purdue University to distribute software through a central point. Where appropriate, we can perform this service as defined in the applicable agreements. We also can ensure that agreement terms are disseminated with the software. The central location for software distribution is the reception area, Young Hall, fifth floor.

Note that participation in the ITaP Shopping program is at the discretion of the student, faculty or staff member, and the purchase contract is between the purchaser and the vendor. Purdue University is not a party to sale; negotiations to resolve any disputes with the vendor will be the responsibility of the purchaser.
