The Geometer's Sketchpad
The Geometer's Sketchpad is software for the visual learning of mathematics. It can be used to illustrate models of fractions, geometric patterns, algebraic ratios and proportions, and other mathematical ideas. Purdue's licensee for University-owned computers at the West Lafayette campus includes both the Windows and Macintosh versions.

The Geometer’s Sketchpad is no longer being distributed. The last purchased version was 4, copyright 2001. Availability for this version is detailed below.
Geometer’s Sketchpad 4 is available for University-owned machines on the West Lafayette campus for use by individuals employed, enrolled, or engaged in educational programs at the West Lafayette campus only. Newer versions of the software are not available.
This software is not available for use with personally owned machines.
Due to the age of this product, Geometer’s Sketchpad 4 may not be compatible with modern versions of the Windows or Macintosh operating systems.
Purdue’s purchase of unlimited perpetual licenses for the Geometer’s Sketchpad 4 does not extend to newer versions of the product. There is no end-user cost associated with installation and use of version 4 of this product on University-owned machines on the West Lafayetee campus. The software must be fully uninstalled when association with the University ends or status changes results in ineligibility.

Per special request, Geometer’s Sketchpad 4 can be made available via installation media on 24-hour loan. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule pick-up of the software. For Purdue-owned machines administered by an IT organization such as ITaP, CLA-IT, or ECN, please contact your IT group for assistance prior to request.
