Authorization Codes

An Authorization Code is a seven-digit number billed to a Purdue account number. The code allows long distance calls to be placed from a Purdue phone or via a Purdue Operator, if calling from a local off-campus phone. The Purdue operator can be reached at 494-4600. If you need to make a business call from outside of the local calling area, please use a Purdue Calling Card.

Domestic long distance calls using the Authorization Code are billed at a flat rate. International calls are billed at country specific rates. NOTE: Authorization Codes are to be used for "official" University business only.
