What is it?
For students who want a little extra from their lectures, BoilerCast delivers classroom audio and screen captured recordings in many courses on campus. With new enhancements, made possible by the use of Echo360 and iTunesU, instructors can BoilerCast audio and screen captured recordings of their lectures as well as post supplemental course content. The visual and audio enhancements may be used as preparation for homework assignments, labs, and exam reviews. Instructors can request BoilerCast at any time during the semester. Recordings will be scheduled based on this request. There is no need to worry about recording a class or positing it to the class website. These services are included in the BoilerCast package.

How will it enhance learning in my classroom?
BoilerCast is intended to be a supplement to teaching. Listening to BoilerCasts will not replace reading or attending class but may:

  • Assist auditory learners and non-native speakers
  • Provide additional channel for material review: repeated listening and repetition of audio and video content
  • Convenience of portable digital content and reduced dependence on physical materials

Where is it available?

Instructors teaching in other classrooms can use BoilerCast, but will have to manage their own class content.

How do I get started?
