What is it?
StudyMate is an authoring tool that allows you to create ten Flash-based activities and games using three simple templates. The Flash activities
can be used with any web server or published directly to WebCT's Vista. StudyMate will import items from MS Word files, Respondus,
IMS QTI and other formats as well as publisher test banks.
How will it enhance learning in my classroom?
StudyMate creates interesting, interactive activities from existing content. For a product description and complete list of features, visit the
StudyMate website.
Where is it available?
Purdue University has obtained a campus-wide license for the StudyMate software. Our license with Respondus, Inc. does NOT permit instructors
to obtain support directly from Respondus, Inc. If our staff is unable to solve a particular question or problem, we will contact Respondus, Inc. on your
behalf.
Our license DOES permit you to install a copy of the StudyMate software on a home or office computer. However, please note that you are not permitted
to provide the StudyMate software or the password information to anyone who is not affiliated with Purdue. Such an action is a
violation of our licensing agreement with Respondus and is also illegal.
How do I get started?
Download a copy of the StudyMate software. You will need to enter your Purdue career account login id and password to download. The download
will include instructions on how to install StudyMate, a user guide and licensing info. You can choose to extract just the user guide or any of the other components as desired.
