Last updated: August 12, 2009 New wireless microphones needed in centrally scheduled classroomsThe Federal Communications Commission (FCC) switch from analog to digital broadcasting technology has created the need to update the wireless microphone receivers located in centrally scheduled classrooms across campus. The existing Shure UC1 body pack will no longer work and will need to be replaced by the departments that own them. This needs to be done before classes begin in August. Windows Vista will NOT be deployedWindows Vista will not be deployed in the instructional labs as previously announced. With Microsoft planning to release the next version of Windows in late 2009 or 2010, TLT will instead focus on the deployment capabilities of Windows 7.

Turnitin - plagiarism toolTurnitin to be replaced May 2010Turnitin will be phased out over the next academic year and will be replaced with Blackboard's SafeAssign. Turnitin will be available until May 12, 2010, but instructors can move to SafeAssign this fall. SafeAssign is part of the Blackboard suite and is centrally hosted by Blackboard.
