Technology & Equipment

Will there be wireless networking available at the conference?

Wireless connectivity (802.11b) will be available at the conference. Guests from the main Purdue campus can use their Career Accounts to connect. Guests from off-campus can pick up a wireless guest account at the registration table. For setup information, see Purdue Air Link (http://www.itap.purdue.edu/airlink/).

I am bringing my laptop. What should I do before I come to the conference?

  • Make sure your virus software is up to date.
  • Install any security patches available for your Operating System.

I am presenting at TLT. What technology and equipment will be provided for me?

Presenters will be provided with a projector and a screen, power, and wired or wireless internet. Please plan to provide your own computers, power cords, power strips, network cables or other equipment.

Poster session presenters will be provided with a six-foot, skirted table, two chairs, a poster board, and will have access to power and wired and wireless internet. Please plan to bring your own computers, power cords, power strips, network cables or other equipment.

I am a TLT corporate sponsor. What technology and equipment will be provided for me?

We will provide:

  • For sponsor booths: Exhibition space with one six-foot skirted table, two chairs, and a poster board. Power and wired or wireless internet will be provided.
  • For sponsor presentations: A projector and a screen, power, and wired or wireless internet.

You should bring:

  • Computers, power cords, power strips, network cables or other equipment.

What is the registration fee to attend the TLT conference?

There is no charge to attend the TLT conference.

How do I get to the TLT conference?

How many people usually come to the TLT conference?

We have between 500 and 600 attendees each year.

Who is the intended audience for the TLT Conference?

Anyone with an interest in educational technology is invited to attend the TLT Conference. Faculty and other higher education instructors, instructional technologists, and faculty support staff will all benefit from the various sessions that will be offered.
