Storage Policy for HOLD.ICS.PURDUE.EDU
  1. HOLD.ICS.PURDUE.EDU is intended as temporary storage of 3D rendering files that result from submitting a job to the Purdue DRE. Files not pertinent to these types of projects will be removed.

  2. For Spring 2004, HOLD.ICS.PURDUE.EDU will only be accessible from on campus networks.

  3. Files should remain on hold for no longer than 72 hours from the completion of the last frame.

  4. “Special” Jobs that will take more than 72 hours should be able to request an extension on a case-by-case basis by contacting dre-help@purdue.edu.

  5. Source files will be deleted upon completion of the last rendered frame for that job.

    Notes:

The space used by the DRE is provided to you over and above the space that you have in your career account. As this space is a beta test space, access to this space can be revoked by ITaP at any time if the situation so demands. All students need to backup their data from this space when possible to avoid any problems.

Please keep the space as empty as possible. When your job is done, please try to move your rendered output to your career account or other storage media. Space is a premium on the centralized storage space.
