Error: 500 or Page Cannot be Displayed
When you upload a page and it doesn't show in your browser, or you see an Error 500, clear the cache. This will force the browser
to load the page from the server. It is also a good idea to clear cookies and history files as well.
Once the Cookies, Cache and Temporary Files are cleared, you should be able to request a section creation and population.
You will need to close all browser windows, open a new browser window and log into the request form again.
Firefox Users:
- Click on the "Tools" menu bar
- Choose "Options"
- On the "History" tab, click "Clear Browsing History Now"
- On the "Cookies" tab, click "Clear Cookies Now"
- On the "Cache" tab, click "Clear Cache Now"
- Click "OK" to exit the options window.
- Close ALL browser windows, open a new browser window, and try again.
Internet Explorer Users:
- Click the "Tools" menu bar
- Choose "Internet Options"
- On the "General" tab in the "Temporary Internet Files" section, click "Delete Cookies" and "Delete Files"
This will delete all the files in your cache.
- Click "OK"
It is a good idea to delete all offline files as well.
- On the "General" tab, click "Clear History"
This will clear all the history items in yuor browser.
- When it asks "Delete all items in your History folder?", click "OK"
- Click "OK" to exit the properties window.
- Close ALL browser windows, open a new browser window, and try again.
Netscape Users:
Netscape has two different caches and it is important to clear both.
- Open Netscape
- Click the "Edit" menu bar
- Choose "Preferences"
- Click on the plus sign (+) by "Advanced" and choose "Cache"
- Click "Clear Memory Cache" and then click "OK"
- Click "Clear Disk Cache" and then click "OK"
- Click "OK"
- Close ALL browser windows, open a new browser window, and try again.
