Customized Training for Undergraduates

We have developed the following policy for providing instructional technology training for Purdue Student Organizations (PSOs) and in undergraduate classes.

  1. Instructors or PSO officers must contact TLT at least two weeks in advance of the requested training date. We regret that we will be unable to fulfill requests that are made less than two weeks before the date of the requested training.
  2. To request training, contact us at tlt-training@purdue.edu or call 49-63257. The instructor or PSO officer must consult with a staff member before training will be scheduled. The training will be provided by TLT staff.
  3. Undergraduate students may be brought to the Digital Learning Collaboratory (DLC) for special training sessions, or training may be scheduled by TLT staff in suitable ITaP computer labs.
  4. For academic class sessions, the TLT trainer should be considered a "guest lecturer" at the training session. The class instructor must be present at the training to assist, and to share in the learning experience, in order to be able to assist students in completion of class work using the technology.
  5. Students who desire further help with the technology used in the training session should work with their instructor or seek help from students working in the DLC. Undergraduates should be informed that DLC staff can answer and assist with questions about the technology, but are not permitted to assist in completing projects or other class work.
