ITaP Instructional Lab Etiquette

The use of ITaP Instructional Labs requires cooperation by everyone; please be considerate of others by following these guidelines:
  • No food or tobacco is allowed in the lab. Only drinks with screw-on, spill-proof lids are allowed in the lab. No coffee cups or lids with straws are allowed.
  • This lab is a study zone – please limit your noise. Cell phones, pagers, and other electronic communication devices should be turned off while inside the lab.
  • Group studying – limit group studying to non-busy times or locations. Give chairs to others so they can use available computers.
  • Log off from your computer - Workstations left idle for more than 10 minutes will be reset to the login screen.
  • Printouts are limited to 10 minutes maximum printing time – break large print jobs into smaller print jobs.
  • Unclaimed printouts will be recycled after one hour.
  • Customer’s forms or paper are not permitted in ITaP printers – this can damage the printers.
  • Computers are available on a first come first serve basis only during computer lab hours of operation and when no classes are scheduled in the room.
  • Do not unhook any components from the ITaP computers and printers.
