XP 2002 Migration These tips are intended for those running Windows XP in it's "out-of-the-box" format. Microsoft dramatically changed the menus in the XP software versions from previous versions of Windows. When XP versions are installed out of the box, for instance on machines purchased for home use with software already loaded, the user sees the XP changes described in these tips. However, a great many Purdue workstation support groups deploying XP on campus machines, including the ITaP-supported student labs, are installing XP with the "Windows Classic" theme. This theme customizes the user interface to appear similar to and function comparably to Windows 2000.
