I need to modify my mobile device settings now that my email has moved - how do I do this?

We have found that the quickest and easiest option on a mobile device, whether Apple or Android, is to delete your existing account and recreate it as if the device were new.  You will set it up as an Exchange account and use the following information (as needed):

  • Server:
  • Login: (your Purdue email address)

I am getting multiple login prompts in Outlook - what do I do?

  1. For the first prompt, you will want to enter your email address ( and your password
  2. Subsequent prompts will likely require onepurdue\username - this is because Outlook is accessing resources such as shared calendars or public folders that are still on campus
  3. Be sure to check the "Remember" box

I now have legitimate email going to my Junk Email folder - how do I disable Junk filtering?

  1. Log into OWA (
  2. Click on the Settings (gear) icon in the upper right
  3. Click the ''Mail' link under the 'Your app settings' section near the bottom
  4. In the left side pane, click the 'Block or allow' option under 'Accounts'
  5. At the top of this 'Block or allow' settings page, click "Don't move email to my Junk Email folder"
  6. Click Save near the top of the page
  7. Click the blue Options with the back arrow to its left in the upper left corner to return to email

Focused Inbox - how to turn on or off

I got a message saying "The Microsoft Exchange Administrator has made a change that requires you quit and restart Outlook" but I didn't expect a change (or my mailbox wasn't scheduled to move today) - what gives?

  • This indicates that something you have permission to or have mapped to has likely been migrated to Office 365.  This is legitimate and you can safely follow the advice.

I received aa message about and an email adresss in the form of (where 'x' may be any number between 1 and 4).  It is asking to Allow or Cancel/Deny - what do I do?

  • Check the box that says one of the following:
    • Don't ask me about this website again (Windows Outlook)
    • Always use my response for this server (Mac Outlook)
  • Click the 'Allow' button

My mailbox moved and now I cannot log in to my mailbox - not even through OWA - how can I troubleshoot?
