Purdue now uses WebEx for web conferencing.
Adobe Connect has been retired from service as of Friday, January 30, 2015. You will no longer be able to log in to any of the Connect servers. Please see below for several questions and answers about our transition away from Connect.
- Does Purdue stlll have web conferencing software?
Purdue has adopted WebEx as our web conferencing platform. Please visit our WebEx Information Page for more information about using the WebEx system.
- I used Adobe Connect to record lectures for my students. Can I do this with WebEx?
Yes, you may use WebEx to record lectures and supplemental materials for your students. WebEx Meeting Center recordings are automatically transferred to Kaltura MediaSpace. This transfer of video from WebEx to Kaltura MediaSpace actually gives your students more options to view your recorded lectures, as videos played back from Kaltura may be viewed on traditional desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones, without the need to download special software. Your recordings can be easily embedded in Blackboard using the Kaltura mashup.
