Blackboard Learn will be down for upgrade evening of May 11

Blackboard Learn, Purdue’s course management system, will be unavailable the evening of Saturday, May 11, as the system receives an upgrade.

The upgrade will require Blackboard to be unavailable from 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, to 1 a.m. Sunday, May 12, during the break between the end of the spring semester and start of the summer session.

The upgrade is primarily to address technical issues, but will include a new feature that allows instructors to upload documents from cloud-based services, like Google Docs and Microsoft’s OneDrive. The new release supports all major browsers, including Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari and Microsoft Edge; Internet Explorer is no longer supported.
