Remind students to complete course evaluations Nov. 25-Dec. 8

Feedback from students can be an important source of information as you make decisions about your courses. One source of student feedback is the end-of-semester course evaluation, through which students can provide quantitative and qualitative impressions of a course and instructor.

Students enrolled in 16-week courses will receive course evaluations emails in their Purdue accounts starting at 1 a.m. on Nov. 25 and ending Dec. 8 at 11:59 pm (unless their department has assigned a different evaluation period). The signature on the email is that of Dr. Chantal Levesque-Bristol, executive director of the Center for Instructional Excellence. Students often recognize the email by this signature.

Encouraging your students to follow the link embedded in the email will help assure a response rate that provides feedback representative of your entire student population. You may see real-time response rates from your students by logging into the Course Evaluation webpage. You will not be able to see the evaluations themselves until after grades are submitted and finalized.

See your department’s evaluation coordinator for specifics to the process. Other details on the course evaluation system, including a list of the department evaluation coordinators, is available under the “Faculty” tab on the Course Evaluation web page.
