Fall 2020 Instructional Support Portfolio

A portfolio of course transformation support options are available this summer to support instructors building courses for Fall 2020 in ways that are intentional, inclusive, and safe.

The portfolio builds on the success of Purdue’s internationally recognized IMPACT and its most recent derivations: IMPACT Access and IMPACT X. This month, a team of 21 Purdue faculty is working with the Innovative Learning Team to create specific approaches and exemplars for different types of courses that make up IMPACT X+. Click here for details on each program and how you can participate.

Any instructor may register for IMPACT Access and/or sign-up for IMPACT X. Access is non-facilitated and self-paced, and focuses on pedagogy in course design. IMPACT X has some facilitator support and helps faculty update their course(s) for remote delivery within Brightspace. More than 400 instructors are already participating in IMPACT X. Both IMPACT X+ and Full Course Design options will be offered only for pre-selected courses being offered in the fall.

The launch of the portfolio is the latest example of how the Provost Office and the Innovative Learning Team are directing all available resources toward a successful 2020-21 academic year. These opportunities are immediately available and will support course preparations for both hybrid offerings for in-residence students as well as fully online offerings for online/distance students.
