Cisco Jabber update coming June 28

Cisco is retiring the messaging feature for Cisco Jabber. After 6 a.m. on June 28, Cisco Jabber users will need to log out of Jabber if already logged in and click “Reset Jabber” on the sign-in screen. This will update the program and reset settings and preferences. Once logged back in, the contact list and messaging section will disappear and Jabber will be a phone and voicemail-only application. Users will need to reconfigure Jabber’s settings to their preference. Users will need to do this on every device that has Jabber, including laptops, PCs and smartphones.

When using the updated Jabber app on a computer, verify that “Use Computer” is selected as the device for calls and the headset is chosen as “Speaker” and “Microphone” in the audio tab.
