October workshops: Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power Apps

ITaP is partnering with Microsoft to host a series of webinars to help users get the most out of using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power Apps. 

The webinars, led by professionals from Microsoft, are designed to introduce new users to the tools, which are available to all faculty and staff as part of Microsoft Office 365 and portal.office.com.

  • Get started with Microsoft Power Apps; 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 4. 
    Microsoft Power Apps increases agility across your organization by helping you rapidly build low-code apps that modernize processes and solve tough challenges. Get started by taking a tour of Power Apps and learning to create your first app. 
  • Get started with Microsoft Power Automate; 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6
    Microsoft Power Automate streamlines repetitive tasks and processes so you can focus your attention where it’s needed most. In this training, learn the basics of Power Automate and start creating flows from templates and from scratch. 
  • Get started with Microsoft SharePoint Online; 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11
    This course focuses on the SharePoint Online experience in communication and team sites. Attendees will learn how to share and manage content, find information, and collaborate across their organization. This introductory course focuses on the experience for site members. 
  • Go further with Microsoft SharePoint Online; 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13
    This course expands on more advanced features of SharePoint Sites, focusing on Site Ownership and Architecture. Attendees of this course can expect to learn about sharing and permissions, workflow management, content types, and various site architecture components for building effective team sites. 
  • Increase collaboration with Microsoft Teams; 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18 
    Working together is easier with Microsoft Teams. Tools and files are always available in one place that’s designed to help you connect naturally, stay organized, and bring ideas to life. Learn how to make the most of chat, channels, and connected apps to improve communication and deepen collaboration across teams of all sizes. 
  • Go further together with meetings in Microsoft Teams, 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20
    The world of work has changed. With the growth of technology, we’re no longer required to go into an office to access the files and information we need to do our jobs. This course will demonstrate key features of Microsoft teams meetings and webinars including collaboration tools, breakout rooms and access to meeting resources. 
  • Get started with Microsoft Power Apps, 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25
    Microsoft Power Apps increases agility across your organization by helping you rapidly build low-code apps that modernize processes and solve tough challenges. Get started by taking a tour of Power Apps and learning to create your first app.
