Service Description:

ITaP Teaching and Learning Technologies provides timely information on new software, upgrades and services to Purdue faculty, staff and students that assist them with educational activities.

This service line is comprised of the following service areas:

  • Assistive Technology Services: The Assistive Technology Center (ATC) provides resources to empower individuals with disabilities at Purdue to achieve their academic goals. Consultation and training is available to those who are instructors for students with disabilities.
  • Consulting Services: Instructional design and educational technology staff are available for one-on-one consultation with instructors who need assistance building instructional resources or redesigning course content. Consultation topics include online/blended coursese, Web tools, classroom response systems, instructional design, multimedia design and portable devices..
  • Training Services: Teaching and Learning Technologies offers training in instructional technologies for faculty and staff. Courses are available in multiple formats, from informational seminars to hands-on multimedia workshops. Topics include online/blended courses, online survey and assessment development, graphics, digital video and special interest topics.
  • ITaP Student Software Training Services: Since its 2005 inception, ITaP Student Software Trainers have provided quality, effective technology training for thousands of Purdue undergraduates, faculty and staff. A team of student trainers will work with your class, your organization or you to provide the software training that best fits your instructional goals. Open technology training workshops are also provided for members of the Purdue community.  Student Trainers are also available for one-on-one consultations.  For more information please visit the Teaching and Learning Technologies Student Software Trainers webpage.

Consultations are generally available during business hours only. Training sessions and schedules are available on the ITaP Workshops Catalog page.

Eligibility:

Purdue faculty, staff and students that assist them with educational activities are eligible for these services.
