West Lafayette, Calumet, North Central. University-owned computers and personally owned computers of Purdue faculty, staff, and students.

All EndNote X7 purchases after September 1, 2016 are eligible for an upgrade to X8.

EndNote is a product for publishing and managing bibliographies. It is used by writers to locate bibliographic data and to create bibliographies for their publications.

Currently available is EndNote X8 for Windows and EndNote X8 for Mac.

Departments may purchase perpetual licenses and ISO download from ITaP Licensing and Distribution for $90.50.

The principal user of this software on a University-owned computer may also install the software on one personally owned computer for University related work. To enable this provision, departments must identify the principal user at the time the software is ordered. If they want to take advantage of this provision, these named faculty and staff must then register for home use. There may be up to three installations per license with only one in use at a time per registered user. The registered user may not be a student or graduate student. Media duplication is not authorized.

If EndNote is needed in a lab or on a multi-user machine, then the one license may only be installed on one computer.

Registered Purdue students and non-temporary faculty and staff may also purchase perpetual licenses and media of EndNote for personal use through OnTheHub. Licenses purchased through OnTheHub may not be installed on University-owned computers.

EndNote X8 for Windows and Mac for use on University-owned computers is available to download through ITaP Software Distribution on Purdue's CommunityHub once a license has been purchased. For more information on how to complete a purchase go to Community Hub.
